The Community Activists Working Group champions social justice, sustainability, and security, aiming to make every individual in society a recognized and effective participant in advancing progressive causes. By addressing critical issues such as anti-corruption, feminism, human rights, minority rights, and cybersecurity the group aspires to foster a society rooted in pluralism, equity, and accountability. Social advocacy, public policy development, and institutions are central to its transformative agenda.

What is the Group’s Philosophy?

The Community Activists Working Group is a dynamic platform for individuals eager to challenge oppressive structures and catalyze positive change. In an era where justice, security, and sustainability are global imperatives, this group equips its members with tools to address pressing issues while building alliances and fostering resilience. By joining, you become a vital part of a collective that not only advocates for progressive values but also contributes to shaping policies and actions that resonate far beyond Lebanon. 

Who Should Join?

This group invites advocates aged 16 and above who are passionate about human rights, feminism, digital security, environmentalism, anti-corruption, and related causes. Members should be enthusiastic about driving systemic change and engaging in collaborative work to identify violations, propose reforms, and amplify underrepresented voices.

What Can You Expect?

Through hands-on, result-driven sessions, including live and online workshops, field surveys, and field mobilizations, members will create research reports, reform papers, public policy drafts, and institutional mappings. The group engages in advocacy and change managmenet, documents violations and identifies violators, produces actionable outputs communicated through media channels, and more.
