Studio Madane is based in two cities, but the questions it works on are distributed across many more, towns, villages, and districts that institutional networks underserve and external observers misread. The Citizen Scientists Working Group exists to ground the studio in different corners of the place: members who live there, know who matters there, and can pull knowledge from communities that have rarely been asked.
It's how a centralized practice becomes a regionally honest one.
These members play a pivotal role in decentralizing efforts, activating local engagement, and accessing gatekeepers and local narratives.
Local archives, district mappings, oral histories, stakeholder networks, regional research, and ground-truthing for studio projects. The group acts as Studio Madane's local presence across the region, working with municipalities, community centers, civil society networks, and local institutions.
